How Models Are Rated
Backt Score (0 to 100)
Measures prediction skill using a proprietary formula that factors in profitability, consistency, track record length, and risk adjusted performance. Changes with every graded pick. A high Backt Score means the model is genuinely skilled, not just on a lucky streak.
Star Rating (1 to 5)
Measures how much you can trust the record. Uses advanced statistics that account for sample size. A model with a great win rate over a small number of picks could just be lucky. Stars only go up when the data confirms the model is actually good over a large enough sample. Requires both skill and volume.
Stars range from 1 (new, unproven) to 5 (statistically proven edge over hundreds of picks). More picks with consistent results means higher stars. There are no shortcuts.
Certification (New, Verified, Proven, Elite)
Measures track record volume. Purely based on how many verified picks a model has posted. No other metrics involved.
New = 0 to 49 picks · Verified = 50 to 199 · Proven = 200 to 499 · Elite = 500+
Trend (Rising, Steady, Declining)
Shows whether a model is improving or declining by comparing recent performance to their older track record. A model can have a great all-time ROI but be on the way down. Trend tells you the direction.

Key Terms
Return Profit and Loss. Your total gains minus losses, in dollars (investor) or units (model).
Units A standardized bet size. 1 unit = your base stake. Models post picks in units so investors can scale to any bankroll.
ROI Return on Investment. Profit as a percentage of total units staked. +5% ROI means $5 profit for every $100 risked.
Win Rate Percentage of picks that won. 55% means 55 out of 100 picks were correct.
Max Drawdown The worst peak to trough losing streak in units. Shows the biggest dip a model has experienced.
Juice / Vig The commission built into odds. Standard is -110, meaning you risk $110 to win $100. Lower juice is better.
CLV (Closing Line Value) How your locked odds compare to the final odds at game time. Consistently beating the closing line is the strongest indicator of real edge.
Sharpe Ratio Return per unit of risk. Above 1.0 is good, above 2.0 is excellent. Rewards consistent returns over volatile ones.
Sortino Ratio Like Sharpe but only penalizes downside volatility. A model with big wins and small losses scores higher.
Alpha Skill above breakeven after accounting for juice. Positive alpha means the model has a real edge.
Exposure Total dollars at risk on pending picks that haven't been graded yet.
AUM Assets Under Management. The total dollar amount tracking a model's picks across all investors.
Consensus When multiple verified models independently pick the same side of a game. Strong consensus (3+) has historically been a bullish signal.
Model Correlation How often two models pick the same side. High overlap (70%+) may mean you're doubling exposure, not diversifying.
Rolling ROI ROI calculated over a sliding window of the last 30 picks. Shows recent momentum rather than all-time averages.
Calmar Ratio Total return divided by max drawdown. Shows whether a model's returns are worth the losing streaks. Higher is better.
Monthly Volatility How much a model's monthly Return varies. Lower volatility means more predictable returns for investors.
Profitable Months Percentage of calendar months where the model finished in profit. Consistent models are profitable most months, not just big in a few.
How It Works
Server Locked Picks Every pick is locked with a UTC timestamp before the game starts. No edits, no backdating, no deleting. The record is permanent.
Following a Model Set your bankroll and unit size. Every pick the model posts is tracked in your simulated portfolio at your sizing. You see exactly what your returns would be.
Simulated Return Your portfolio tracks what you would make if you followed these models with real money. No actual money is at risk. Updated live as picks are graded.
Sizing Methods Percentage (% of bankroll per unit), Flat (fixed dollar amount per unit), or To Win (fixed dollar amount you want to win per unit).
Activity Feed See picks from verified models as they go live. Every pick is server-locked before tipoff. Scroll to browse what's happening now.
Performance Trajectory On the Performance tab, see your rolling ROI chart, monthly results grid, and consistency stats. Helps you spot trends in your own record and stay disciplined.
Model Style Models self-classify their approach as Conservative (steady, low variance), Value (consistent ROI), Growth (higher potential, moderate volatility), or Aggressive (high variance, big swings). Shown as a badge on their card and profile.
Parlays Multi-leg bets combining two or more picks. All legs must win for the parlay to pay out. Combined odds are calculated automatically. Server-locked like single picks.
Watchlist Save models you're interested in without following them. Track their performance before committing. Access your watchlist from the Portfolio page.
Batch Picks Queue up multiple picks and submit them all at once. Useful for posting a full card of picks for the day. Each pick is individually server-locked.
